History
It was 1957 I was 23 years old. I saw this car in a dealers yard in Wimbledon, UK with a ticket price of 60 pounds. It had run one of it's bigends and the wiring harness was burnt out. I bought it and repaired it in a very small garage. I had the crank metal sprayed and reground and bought a reel of black electrical cable and did a complete rewire with it (in single colour) with name tags on the end of each wire to identify it. When I bought it the car was all black but after repairing the the bottom of the doors I painted the light grey panels below the chrome strip. I taught myself to drive with (notice the L plates) with no supervision as the UK government had changed the law because of the Suez war crisis. Happy days - I wonder what it might be worth now.
