History
The car was built 2016-2018 from a pile of bits and a Graham Paine fibreglass body tub in the style of the 1930s MG Q type race cars. It is road registered and is also be used for GEAR club track days.
Modifications
The MG XPAG motor is bored to 1386cc (from 1250cc standard) and is supercharged with a Shorrock C75B blower. The differential is BMC A series 4.55:1. Front brakes are Datsun 240Z drums. Monroe telescopic shock absorbers all round. Body work uses only one original panel - the front valence. Apart from the fibreglass tub, the bonnet is aluminium, the wings steel. The car weighs 700kg.
