History
In 2008 I was interested in getting involved in club motorsport . I was a member of AROCA Vic and had 1973 105 GTV that I considered was just a bit to good for the track. So the search was on for something a little later that could be used for track work preferably an Alfetta GTV. According to the hand book the car I settled on was originally delivered new to a farmer in southern NSW, changed hands a few times and then ended up in Tasmania. It had been owned by a Victorian who moved to Tassie some 25 years earlier ( circa 1983). He had taken the car with him as a project to restore in retirement. Upon retirement he decided not to proceed so I purchased the car
Modifications
Car has gradually been improved to be a fast road car , still road registered. Modifications over the last decade have included
. Installation of a Twin Spark engine & gearbox from a later model Alfa 75
. Brake upgrade from an Alfetta GTV 2.6 V6
. Various suspension upgrades from PACE Automotive.
In this format I was lucky enough to win the AROCA club championship in 2013.
The end result I believe is the Alfetta that Alfa Romeo should have built but never did . A 2.0 litre Twin Spark GTV Stradale
