My late father purchased his HZ Kingswood SL in early 1980 from GMH Woodville where he worked as a maintenance plumber. The car was an executive vehicle and had covered a mere 10,000 kms when he purchased the car. It has only travelled 215,000 kilometres from new and comes with all of the original documentation from new. It is heavily optioned which includes, four wheel disk brakes, cloth trim inserts, Statesman wiper dwell, Air Cond, Power Steering and electric rear tailgate.
Some two years ago I began a restoration on my fathers car completely stripping all of the paint in order for repairs to commence to the body. Shortly after this time the car was resprayed in the original Dark Carmine paint work.
I am still in the process of finishing the interior, freshening up the engine and putting the car back together.
