History
Original JohnGoss Special delivered in 1975, I traced the original owner who sadly passed not too long ago, he was fair chuffed that the old girl still existed.
It made its way from Melbourne through South Australia, outback NSW and into Queensland over its lifetime and the previous owner used her as a hillclimb car and mad some modifications to her for safety and performance aspects.
When I purchased her we drove her down from the Gold Coast to Western Sydney with 4.11:1 diff ratio and she never missed a beat.
Modifications
Since owning her I have replaced most rubbers, front and rear suspension, new carb and manifold, alloy radiator, braided hoses, hi flow air filter alloy rocker covers, new disc brake rear diff, new wheels and tyres, various interior fixups, new modern blade fuse box (cause he old ceramic one was crap), rebuilt brake calipers all round, rebuild hydraulic clutch master, slave and lines, all mechanical work has been done by myself and I had Shane and the guys at Panther Prestige Smash in Penrith do some minor paint touch ups and many more bits I can’t remember, I just love tinkering on the old girl and getting her running like a top.
A new 9” rear end is on its way and I’d like to upgrade to a top loader gear box from the single rail, but mostly I plan to drive it.
