History
When I went to buy a Porsche, I was confronted by 15 in Guards Red - that was the point I decided to try a colour which was different to most - Mosman Automobiles, a specialist in fine machinery at the time had this terriffic example. Autohaus Hamilton looked after it for me for the first 6 years, and then I chose to have the car serviced by Porsche accredited Autowerks on the Central Coast for the next 6 years.
Modifications
The original KKK turbo was replaced by the competition K27 supplied by Peter Fitzgerald. The K27 had the standard .7 bar spring replaced with a 1 bar spring for greater boost. The suspension was replaced with Bilstein sport and torsion bars replaced with competition bars. The car ran with 17" rims - 235 Pirreli Pzeros on the front and 255 on the back. With some other light modifications the engine was putting out a respectable 400HP. From a competition perspective, the car only saw selected events at Eastern Creek Raceway, Oran Park, and Wakefield Park.
