I was actively looking for a 1949 Ford Mercury but as the raw material was hard to find I settled on this 1951 Twin Spinner & re-styled it into a Radical Custom.
It was a very very rusty vehicle & perfect for customizing as it was nowhere near a matching numbers type restoration project.
The chassis has been re-engineered with air bag suspension Holden front suspension & EA falcon 4 link rear. The body mods are extensive. It has had a 5"
chop top & converted from 4 door to 2 door, it has central locking, electric windows, power steering & A/C. It drives really well & is quite a fast car. A highlight for me was to take "Gentleman" Jim Richards for a road trip in Feb 2020
