My first car , Had an accident ( dent front right ) on my first day driving .When i was stopped at the end of Ranford road Southern River .Foot relaxed on the brakes while i was messing with my CB radio , and the centrifugal clutch sent me into the path of a HK holden . He laughed ( no damage to the Holden ) when i told him was my first day driving and went on his way. Never forget having to explain to my mother when she asked how my first driving day went ! The car I think is 1958 . It had a 800 cc air cooled twin cylinder , with 2 speed auto , rear wheel drive . could make 60 mph with one passenger , 50 with two ,45 with three ,ETC. sold for $100 to a wrecker in Kalamunda after a good thrashing .
