I did this up for my wife and she absolutely loved it. It was a 2sp Semi Auto that VW produced for a little while. I had the motor rebuilt as a 1670cc dual port from the std 1600 single port but other than the running gear was completely stock.
We lowered it of course.
Put original 914 Porsche Chrome rims and hudcaps on to go with the original Porsche pearl blue paint. (cant remember the name now). This was the first car that I fully paneled myself and then painted and I felt I could put my hand on my heart and say it was truly a professional job (the panel that is, I was already happy with my painting). The body work was mint.
We put central locking in the car and also had electric front windows which my wife just thought was the best thing out.
