History
Originally purchased in the UK as a 1300 kent engine car. Was imported into WA by the original owner who gave it to his daughter. She moved to Melbourne and sold it to the Capri Club parts officer who sold it on to another member, who I bought it from.....minus front seats, rear bar and wheels. I have since sourced all the parts to complete it, so its just down to finding shed-time.
I love the shape of these later model Capris, which have the looks and German electrics....heaps better than the Lucas stuff.
Modifications
I bought this restoration project in 2004 as a running 2.0 (originally 1.3 poverty pack). I'm rebuilding it as a 3.0s Replica in Octane.
Car had only minor rust which has been cut out. Engine bay has been painted.
Recently fitted the V6 but the project will go on hold for awhile due to an overseas move.
Hopefully, this will be my summer car as I intend to regularly return to Australia in my new business venture.
