History
My 1st race car. Purchased it at age 14, built it myself from the ground up from a standard road vehicle in my dads shop, working on it after school and on weekends. I competed in CAMS club events, sprints, hillclimbs, etc under my dads guidance. Raced at full state level once I reached the compulsory age of 16 for CAMS national racing license. Sensational little car. Won the Gippsland hillclimb chamionship in it at age 17. Sold it to buy a block of land, at age 19, what was I thinking..............wish I still had it.
Modifications
270hp 13B Large Bridgeport with 51mm Weber carb backed by a Needham close ratio 4 speed box, lightweight billet flyweel with solid center clutch,factory Mazda race LSD with 4.4 ratio, Koni Adjustable suspension with race geometry, race springs and panhard bar, F&R Discs with Volvo 4 spot calipers. Ran in club car class which these days is called improved production.
