Purchased it as a yellow farm ute in 2013 running a 253, m20 and body and trim were very tired.
Slowly completed total rebuild including bare metal strip, new trim, and reco pretty much everything to make the car a clean and tidy daily driver.... sort of went a bit past that.
Modifications
She was done as a Sandman tribute plus extra tweaking. Body modifications are mostly bolt on with the statesman front end and removed moulding and tonneau hooks but have added 68 ss camaro bonnet hump and louvers. I did all body and paint myself and painted the Sandman stripes in pearls. Detailed engine bay. Gts mirrors
Running a mild 308, 40thou over acl flat tops with a crane 276 grp a replacement cam, edelbrock manifold, heads are pre pollution red, have a bowl job and 1.94 stainless intake with yella terra rockers and quadrajet and msd ignition.
Hurricane headers into dual 2.5" pipes.
This was backed by a reco 700r4 4 speed auto with B&M 2500 stall and custom fitted megashifter. Also lockup for the converter is controlled by a B&M control box.
Running a reco salisbury diff with 1 tonner axles and a 3.08 lsd.
Fresh chrome all around
Trim is black vinyl to appear original but patterned in custom pleats on the door cards and seats.
Weld rims 15x5 and 15x8 with bfg tyres
