History
The Alpina was introduced in 1972 as a trail bike, as anyone who has seen the movie "On Any Sunday" will know dirt bikes were really taking off at this time around the world and riders wanted something more than competition bikes.
So bikes like the Alpina could be ridden in the dirt on the weekend and ridden to work through the week.
Basically a Sherpa T trials bike with a bigger tank and seat and wider ratio spread in the gear box.
Modifications
My Alpina is period correct and as close to manufactured spec as it is possible to be.
