History
Bought it in 1981 before I got my license in Feb 82 so mum got to enjoy for a bit before me. Was a low mileage country farmers vehicle 32k miles on the clock. Farmer was a smoker so a clean of the interior showed it to be perfect. Paid $1900, 253 column auto, absolute dream to drive compared to vehicles I had driven whilst on my learners. Austin Kimberley, Dad's 62 Pontiac Laurentian which had had more hits than Elvis so we put the running gear into a 61 Chev, Belair dad bought for $300 with fresh paint job, not yet polished. A family friends HR premier.
Have not enjoyed any car as much since. Funny how they stick in your memory. Back in the 60s we had Morris 1100s and Austin 1800.
Just recently bought a Morris 1100 which is currently under reconstruction in the garage. Hope to have it finished Spring 2017.
