THE WIFE'S CAR
JennyA
I had been looking for a car for club use for a few years when this one popped up on "Social Media".
It was built in Germany in December 1987 and purchased new in Brisbane in March 1988 by a Gold Coast gentleman who paid around $80,000.00 at a time when new Falcons and Commodores were $20,000.00.
The original owner sold it in Adelaide in 1996 , where it stayed for many years before being resold back to the Gold Coast around 2017, where I bought it in late 2019 with just over 150,000 kms on the clock.
For a car of its vintage it is very well equipped, with air conditioning, 6 speaker stereo, power windows, power steering, electric mirrors and 4 wheel disc brakes, and of course it's a convertible.
There are too many electronic gadgets to list them all.
It has a six cylinder overhead cam engine with electronic fuel injection, four speed auto with overdrive, fully independent suspension, and limited slip differential.
Having been conscientiously serviced and logged "as per the book" all its life it is in good condition.
It drives like a dream with very good performance and is remarkably economical.
I look forward to enjoying it for many years and looking like a movie star
