History
This is my circa 1950 ESO race bike. Early ESOs were fitted with JAP engines.
Mine has the 1948 500cc single cylinder race engine.
The bike was raced mainly in SA. and Vic. until 1968.
Normally aspirated running methanol at 15:1 compression.
Castrol R oil is used through a pilgrim pump with total loss lubrication.
ESO disappeared to become part of the JAWA group in the 1950s.
Modifications
Frame was modified to "oil in frame" in the mid 60s.
Everything on this bike is as it came off the track apart from the front rim which could not be saved.
