Purchased in 2011 and subjected to a restoration which includes paint and panel as well as reconditioned engine.
Interior was tidied up and is now a great weekend cruiser.
My 666 racer has a 4.5" rear rim and 165 tyre and uses a stock swing arm. I would like to shorten the wheel base and give it a try and see if it helps dampen the high speed sweeper wallows. Regards Rol.
Thanks for taking the time to call me this morning. Although your capacity is larger than we are allowed to run in road racing, I would like to see what your pistons look like. We are allowed to run up to 1300cc which is a 72mm piston. I run 70mm pistons in the new engine. Yours must be about 74mm. I like the swing arm. The angle looks spot on. My engine is 1233, so 118cc down on yours, but basically similar mods but 31mm CR carbs and mine puts out 120hp on my dyno. If ever you are down my neck of the woods with your bike, I'd like to give it a run on my dyno and compare it with my racer. Looking forward to seeing some photos of the swing arm and linkage set up and one of the piston also if you have it.
i think you know my engine builder near bathurst. rear swingarm is of a honda 919 hornet. honda used this swing arm on just about every model for nearly a decade. front forks are vf1000r interceptor 33ml round slide race carbs, forged rods ported and polished head, larger valves ect. 190/50r17 rear tyre 120/70r17 front tyre 220hp rear wheel handles better than it did with std wheels and suspension cheers.. regards steve

G'day Tatty.
Looks like an interesting machine. Do you know what the rear swing arm is from? What does it handle like?
