According to the books the vehicle was bought new from a Holden/HSV Dealer in Cairns QLD in 2013 and was purchased by the second owner in 2016. The vehicle has complete books in leather case with CD. The vehicle is original as delivered from factory and no modifications have been done to the vehicle. The vehicle is one of the very last VE R8 models manufactured by HSV.
Painted in Alto Grey the vehicle has the Leather Interior pack. The vehicle is fitted with same 6.2 Litre 325kw engine as the GTS from factory. The vehicle has a 6 speed manual gear box.
Stainless steel HSV 25th Anniversary dash and sill panel plates are fitted to the vehicle from factory. This is supported by the HSV id plate mounted in the engine bay with build number and 25th Anniversary logo.
The vehicle has factory delivered with 20 inch Silver HSV SV rims. The vehicle is currently fitted with new Bridgestone RE050 tyres as fitted and delivered by the factory.
Other factory fitted accessories include HSV EDI System that electronically operates the Bi-Modal Exhaust System allowing the driver to turn it on or off from the console, RPM, Brake Force, Acceleration, G-Force, Under & Over Steer, Bi-modal Exhaust, Exhaust Pressure, Manifold Pressure, Air Intake Temp, External temp, KW Power, Fuel Usage, Fuel Economy & Torque. Some of the above functions can be displayed as an electronic gauge on the EDI screen and are changeable by the driver depending on what information the driver wants to monitor. Other functions are shown with a picture of the vehicle. The EDI can display two gauges at any one time.
The EDI also incorporates all the popular V8 Super Car Tracks and allows live race track timing and track data downloading via USB port.
Other HSV factory fitted accessories include electronic Tyre Pressure Monitoring System and mechanical Oil Pressure Gauge, Oil Temp Gauge and Battery Voltage Gauge housed towards the top of the center console. Additionally the EDI system incorporates a Navigation system with built-in GPS based Speed Camera and Red Light camera Alert. Active Cruise control is also fitted which makes the vehicle brake automatically to avoid over speed running experienced in older cruise control systems.
The vehicle is now only used on the odd Sunday drive and performs as it did from then day it left the showroom floor.
