Bought as a fill in car for $300 on my return to Australia in 1974 from the UK. Tired would be too kind a description - it was knackered. A recon engine fixed that for a while, followed by a rebuilt diff. The body had more rust than I wish to remember, particularly when I tried to fit seat belts - there wasn't much metal left in the floor.... Every time it rained, the trough at the bottom of the windscreen would fill up and empty itself on your passenger's legs (or mine). Having said that - it was a reliable car for a uni-student and never really let me down. It was traded in on a Renault 1.4 for my mum as it was valued more than her auto Austin 1800.... I've still got the 1800 which is a different story.
