History
I Purchased this vehicle as a cut down tourer into a utility as was the case with many of the old Model T’s. Converted it into a camper van with a fold out double bed, three burner stove and an Engel fridge/freezer. The car was built to travel around Australia in 2008 to celebrate the 100 years of Model T Fords. We completed the six month tour with just a few breakdowns along the way. Had a lot of fun and now it is time to sell it and move on.
Modifications
Modified body into camper van with a double fold out bed, awning on both sides and annex walls around the bedroom area. Fitted an A model crank, distributor and thermo fan to the motor. Inside I fitted a 40 Channel UHF radio, Radio/cd player, reversing camera, map pocket in the roof and a large glove box behind the passengers. Fitted a three speed Warford gearbox and a ten tooth pinion in the diff to lower the ratio to help compensate for the additional weight in the body. added an extra leaf to the rear spring and fitted shock absorbers to stop body roll. Also added a second fuel tank to increase my driving range and a water tank to carry our drinking water. All worked very well and we had a great trip and now have great memories.
