History
Car was a daily driver which a mate purchases in 2005. He played with the suspension, rebuilt the gearbox and diff. I purchased off him in May 2007 and stripped down the body for fresh panel and paint. Also changed the colour from red to barbados green. The resto was done in my garage at home over the course of a year. I'm not a qualified spraypainter or panel beater, and with a $5000 budget it was a tough slog, but it came out great after spending 400 hours on it. The budget blew out to $6500....but given the result I'm not complaining :)
Modifications
Engine is 304 injected purchased as a crate engine from holden and then installed with wiring loom from a Commondore. Gearbox is 5 speed getrag, also a Commodore item. Diff is 9 inch Ford LSD with disc brakes. There is a 120L alloy drop tank and full SLR flare kit. Wheels are an unknown brand originally off a Hilux. The rotors were re-drilled to Ford stud pattern to fit the rims.
