History
My first car from 1976 that took me to Uni (Mechanical Engineering) and into the working/ married life. It's a 1956 VW Oval with the Golde 2 fold sunroof. I used it as a daily until I stripped it down in 1992 but due to family and work commitments it stayed that way until 2017 before the resto re-commenced (..yes, I'm retired now..). After much surgery it was painted in Grigio Silverstone in late 2020. I have re-installed the old modded engine (see below) - after a minor tidy up - that I built back in the day (late 70's) + my old wheel/tyres combo from that era - brings back some great memories of the fun in that beast from 30-40+ years ago!.. Needless to say she is insured with Shannons for laid up cover - keep your investment secure!.. Here is a video link of it on youtube: https://youtu.be/CJdAuW5MYF4
