History
This is my Mk1 Cortina GT. It is a September 1966 model, making it amongst the last of the Mk1 GT's to roll off Australian production lines. The 1966 models were unique in that they had black interiors with the dark grey matt paint. My particular car is Silver Metallic Grey, which is also quite a rare combination in itself. The car was purchased as a restoration project and underwent a full rotisserie restoration with every aspect either restored or replaced down to every last nut and bolt. The car is mostly original with only subtle or period correct enhancements. While much of the work and all disassembly and reassembly was done by myself, there are lots of other people who worked on the car that I need to recognise - Bodywork and paint by Warwick Parr, Trim by Jarrod Parr (Concourse Moulding), Engine rebuilt by Larner Engines, Gearbox and Diff rebuilt by Shaun Atkinson (Classic Automobilia), Interior from Aldridge Trimming and Brent Parker.
