I purchased the car in 2015 on the Gold Coast, the car was originally imported into Australia in February 1996. (2 Owners Since being imported) Since I have purchased the car I have had the majority of the car refurbished sourcing missing parts from the UK to finish it off properly.
Modifications
List of work completed:
Front seats re-trimmed using original cloth inserts.
Several dash pieces and steering column surround sourced from RS Classics in the UK.
Rebuilt brakes front and rear.
New Clutch
New wheel-bearings all round.
New Cam-Belt kit including tensioner, pulleys and belts.
New Alternator & Water pump belts.
New Rear Hatch Struts fitted.
New “old stock” rear taillights fitted.
Boot carpet and rear shelf replaced.
Boot Jack cover and clips inside boot area sourced from UK.
New Magnetti Marelli Cosworth YB Phase Sensor sourced from Italy.
New Plug Leads.
New Rocker Cover Gasket.
New “Hi-Flo” Fuel Pump & accessories fitted last month.
New Fuel filter fitted at the same time as fuel pump.
All hoses replaced under the bonnet plus a full spare set as spares.
Near New Exhaust.
Near New Fuel Tank.
Car has been totally re-wired under the dash to engine bay.
Electric window motors replaced and re-wired.
Upgraded door cards.
Standard Air-box fitted.
Interior carpets fitted.
Brand new battery.
Panel and rust repairs completed in hatch area. Rear wing had rust repairs completed, new wing plates made where it bolts to the hatch. New sections welded in and rust removed from bottom of rear hatch. Rear hatch and wing assembly re painted & fitted.
Bonnet had stone chips and a few small dings, these have now been fixed and bonnet has been re-painted.
Front bar had stone chips etc. so it was removed, repaired and re-painted. At the same time I had the guys add on a RS500 style front splitter. This was freshly painted and fitted.
