Purchased unregistered and in need of repair in 2006.
Repaired using our previous 1981 Mitsubishi L300 SA van as a donor vehicle after it's engine died and it had too much rust.
Parts used included the differential, carburettor, bullbar, wheels and tyres and a few other parts as needed. Minor rust repairs to the font sills.
Windscreen was replaced, as the old one was badly cracked.
Registered in 2008.
Engine problems with the old 1.6 litre engine, including oil leaks and flooding carburettor in 2016.
Upgraded to 2.0 litre 4G63 engine, 5 speed manual transmission, bucket seats and centre console in 2016.
Required parts were obtained from an accident damaged 1991 Mitsubishi L300 SG van as a donor vehicle.
Replaced the original 4G63 cracked exhaust manifold with extractors.
Installed a Nissan Stanza 2.0L 3 Core Aluminum Radiator with a modified Toyota Corona fan shroud.
Modified a Mitsubishi L300 SG exhaust system to suit the SB van.
Changed the wheels to 15" Mitsubishi Magna wheels.
Queensland Blue Plate obtained for modifications once completed.
