History
Bought this vehicle when it was under 12 months old. I had it for close to 10 years and it was one of the best cars I owned.
Purchased it from Stillwell Ford in Kew Vic, it was a Ford Broadmeadows executive car,
was a factory 4-speed with 302 V8 and power steering which was not that common back then.
Modifications
GT suspension, 36 gallon fuel tank, 4 barrel Holley on a high rise manifold,
GT exhaust, GT driving lights, GT fuel cap and ring, front spoiler, and lots more I have forgotten.
Memories
I purchased this Fairmont from Stillwell Ford in Kew when it was only a few months old, it was a Ford Broadmeadows Factory Car, probably one of their executives, it was a bit unusual being a factory V8 4-speed factory manual in a Fairmont, it was not a GS just a Fairmont. I fitted it out with XY GT springs, GT fuel cap and ring, front spoiler and a 36 gallon long range fuel tank, also added the GT exhaust and a high rise manifold and a 4 barrel Holley carb, also the wheels, I met my wife whilst I had this car and brought the first two of my four children home in it from hospital, was a beautiful car to drive and in the 10 years I owned it never gave any trouble at all. I wish I still had it, but with 4 young children we needed a bigger car. As a side note it was on the used car lot at Stillwells for one day and it was sold.
