History
My new acquisition... (how it used to look brand new) a 1982 Peter Brock HDT SLE-based ADP (Australian Dealer Pack) VH Commodore I drove back from Victoria when I bought it in 2010. I was originally after a VH SS Commodore, but unfortunately the guy sold it without letting me know. I was so disappointed about this, as the car was everything I was after, so I began searching for another VH SS, but then came across this. The owner also had a silver VK SS Group Three in the same shed. The deal was struck, and I drove it home.
This one has been fitted with everything from the HDT factory - Cruise Control; Air Con; Trip Computer; Digital clock; power windows; power antenna; power steering; 4 wheel (HDT 281mm instead of the standard 270mm) ventilated discs... the list is endless. Only thing it does not have is the power sunroof...
Missing the front skirt in this picture.
Modifications
All original as it was in 1982, with Group 3 spoiler kit.
Things added since 2010: fire extinguisher, Kenwood stereo & 3-way speakers, Fusion security unit, and also my old GTS steering wheel, as the original HDT unit was no longer with the vehicle.
At the moment, the car is stripped ready for a restoration, so unfortunately I can not drive it. I can not wait til it is finally back on the road, as it is a really nice car to drive!
