I bought a basket case Norton which was taking too long to restore. An Interstate came up for sale in the regional town of Boddington so I made the trip and picked it up for $6000. I needed a bike to ride to subdue my urgency to finished my first Norton Roadster which I still have. It ran but only just. Smoke bellowing from the right pipe but still rode it. Once the Raodster was done I could take my time and do the Interstate properly. It's amazing.
Modifications
All standard apart from a Mikuni Carby and Trispark ignition for reliability.
