History
ARN 49-668 only ever saw service with 11/28 Royal Western Australia Regiment, Karakatta WA. The GM120 Record Book For Service Equipment has been retained with the vehicle, which is not common.
Modifications
There are no permanent modifications, which all able to be removed and the vehicle returned to original design. A console containing a UHF and Radio has been added where the rifles are racked, a tail gate has been added and able to be swapped with the whale-tail rest step over in 5 minutes, a 12v winch occupies the front plate location and a series side and hardtop are fitted when security of items inside is required. For the most recent display for photos during a school formal, the vehicle was stripped of top / sides and windscreen folded; as presented outside of the Soldiers’ Memorial Hall (Toowoomba).
49-668 is now housed in WA, and I’ll be sure to display when I’m there too.
