History
Purchased the car around 1983 at the Carlisle Pennsylvania swap meet when I was in my 20's. It had a tired non-original 396 and a Saginaw four speed. I eventually bought a Lingenfelter built 461 for it, added 4.10 rear gears and other go-fast goodies. Sold it a few years later, after a few more years passed I ran into the person I had sole it to and he told me it was now in Florida and might be for sale.
My wife and I took the drive to Florida, bought the car back and had to have it reassembled as the owner had taken the engine out and a number of other things.
Kept it for a few years and enjoyed it until my wife and I bought our first house. I didn't drive the car as much as I should have and we needed stuff for the house so the car was sold again to Pete in Pennsylvania.
Years passed and I had recently purchased a black / saddle interior 1969 Corvette. I still missed the Camaro and would look at different online sites lusting after the Camaros. One day, while surfing the Cars-Online site I saw "my Camaro" for sale again. I contacted the seller and, sure enough,it was Pete looking to sell it.
Yes, I went to look at it again with my wife and, while Pete had done some things to it that I didn't like, I still loved seeing the car. The main reason I didn't buy it for a third time was because I had just purchased the Corvette and I really wasn't ready to get rid of it so I could make room for the Camaro. I found out a few weeks later that the car had been purchased by someone from Australia and that is where it is currently.
I just happened to see it on this site; I would still love to have it back as I have since sold the Corvette.
