History
Sold new by Liverpool Chrysler Sydney in mid 1976 as a VK 770 Reg. No. HVL106. Sold to probably the second owner who lived in Leongatha around the early 80s. It was then passed to the second owner's brother after the second owner passed away. The Charger then resided in the Melbourne suburb of Croydon from the mid 80s used initially as a daily driver by his wife the co owner . The Charger was retained even when superseded by later model cars and driven only occasionally through the 90s. After that period the car wasn't driven and was stored in their garage. The registration was cancelled in 2004 and until I bought her in November 2017 she hadn't been started for about 4 years. Over the next 10 months I did a restoration which included minor rust repair and respray in the boot, cabin floor, rear quarters and passenger side door. The biggest amount of work though was performed at the front where the numbers matching 265 hemi was lifted out to allow for a major chassis rail repair due to rust around the steering box mount area. This also allowed for a respray of the engine bay and also the hemi which was thankfully mechanically sound. She also received all new front end components, brakes, extractors, hoses, tyres and various other components as required to enable her to finally pass a road worthy and is now on the road with club permit scheme plates.
Modifications
The only non standard item is that she is running with a four speed manual transmission installed probably by the second owner where as according to the ID she was initially built and sold with an auto transmission.
