History
Bought the car in 2006 as a rolling shell. It took 9 month to get all the parts together and ready to assemble. I got it registered 364 days after I bought it. In 2009 I pulled the gearbox out to fix what it thought was a leaking front seal only to find out that the gearbox was actually cracked. Repaired the gearbox and decided to do a full resto on the body as every nut and bolt in the car was new. Finished it in 2013. This is 1 of 75 proto types made per production. 1 of 2 made with factory sun roof. I’m a short a** 5’8 or 172cm. Even I have had to unbolt the seat to lay the back back so I can slid down in the seat so I don’t keep rubbing the head lining.
Modifications
All modifications are bolt on bolt off. A lot of time was spent finding interchangeable parts. Car now runs ventilated front and rear discs. CV joint instead of half shafts. I didn’t use adaptor plates, I made new output shafts for the gearbox and new drive hubs for the axles. Runs a pretty serious grout filled Cleveland with 6" rods , Airflow Dynamics head and the biggest hydraulic cam I could find. Revs extremely hard. Exhaust size is limited on the pantera’s as it has run between the lower rear control arm and the drive shaft. Fixed that problem, went up and out the back with a ski boat style 3" exhaust with 2 straight through 6 inch things that look like mufflers but really don’t do s*** because the thing is loud.......really loud. 200km/h comes around in about 8.8 seconds. I only know this as I have a really long driveway.
