History
i had one of these as a kid and decided to find and restore one exactly the same .these and various models were sold around Australia between 1969 and 1975 .
the rockhopper with its chrome and candy apple red paint was the flagship of the delteck range. powered by the aussie victa 125 engine with centrifugal clutch .
thousands of aussie kids have fond memories of these aussie icons . now sought out by collectors and people going thru there mid life crisis they are getting harder to find and some pieces such as the chrome tank and chain cover are extremely hard to find and are priced accordingly .. just a fun bike from time's gone by..
Modifications
bike is completely stock there is no aftermarket parts at all . even the deltek rockhopper sticker was a new old stock kindly donated by another enthusiast . all the chrome work has been redone . seat is original . frame repainted in a version of mazda soul red .gold undercoat 3 coats of colour and 2 coats of clear . it is fitted with the extremely rare front brake option till finding this one i had only seen them in pictures .
tyres are original . engine is the one the bike left the factory with and still using the amal carby and air cleaner. build time of aprox 8 months..bike runs and is rideable . only now original part is the air in the tyres :-)
