History
This car rolled of the Ford production line in October 2007 and was then supplied to Strapp Ford in Doncaster (Victoria) before being delivered to the Victoria Police on the 14th of November 2007. There it became a marked police vehicle. It went into service in January 2008 and had the number plates MCC-233 and roof number H97. It was issued to an Inspector, who was the sole driver of the car, so it has not been abused like many police vehicles. It remained in service until the 12th of June 2009 when it was decommisioned with 43,697km’s on the odometer. In July 2009 it was auctioned and sold to Blacklock’s Ford in Wodonga. I purchased it from Blacklock’s Ford on the 27th of August 2009.
Modifications
Being a BF 2007 MkII ’Upgrade’ Edition, it is fitted standard with a Premium Sound System, dual-zone climate control, clock, and grey inserts in the body kit. Police Package improvements include bigger brakes, F6 Typhoon transmission cooler and a second battery mounted in the boot. While in police service is was fitted with Hella driving lights, which were removed before sale. I have since re-fitted them because I do rural night driving.
