History
This car was assembled on 24th of September 1998 and left the Ford Broadmeadows plant on the 9th of October 1998. It was then supplied to Harrison Ford in Melton before being delivered to the Victoria Police. It was fitted with the appropriate police equipment before going into service on 4th of November 1998 when it was assigned to the Shepparton Traffic Operations Group (T.O.G.). Its registration number was PEK-655 and the roof number was N37. For the next 295 days it suffered the rigours of heavy duty police duties before being decommissioned on 26th of August 1999 with an odometer reading of 40168 kmâs. It then went to public auction and sold, the second owner being from Tooradin in Victoria. It was then purchased by Jim Mock Motorsport with the intention of using the car for research and development work. Jim Mock Motorsport decided to concentrate on a Ford six cylinder development program, and had no further need for this car. It was put into storage for many years before I purchased it in July 2006. I had its original number plates re-issued from VicRoads, which were the same ones it used while in police service. I was able to obtain some police equipment for it, and did display it at the Geelong All Ford Day in 2012 and 2013 with some of the police equipment fitted. I sold it in March 2013.
