History
A special 840ci with rare MKRAFT body kit and modifications. This car has some sensitive updates to an already impressive design and performance combination provided by the German factory. Starting with the performance end, this car has had engine upgrades that delivered an extra 100 hp to the original 300 that BMW gave the car when new. These include head work, retuned electronic engine and gearbox management and extensively tuned exhaust work to the entire length of the cars exhaust system. You can really feel this cars energy from launch or at 100 km/h when you put your foot down to overtake, it really launches.
Modifications
Brand new Bilstein coil over shocks provide even better handling than BMW delivered in the 90s. Although the car is lowered which gives it an amazing stance, it doesn’t feel like most lowered cars when riding inside along a bumpy country road. The coils overs just soak everything up and provide the comfort defined by the old Cadillac armchair ride, crossed with the cornering performance of a dedicated track car. The wheel updates are from a late model 6 series and they have a reasonable amount of tyre on them to provide comfort at the same time as both straight line & cornering grip. Wheels sit on brand new front and back discs. Both sets of wheels are the same dimensions and have the same tyre sizes.
Body kit looks the same as the original to the untrained eye, but is a conservative improvement on what was otherwise a very good looking original. Front and rear air splitters, subtle wing mirrors and colour coded door handles are the ones to spot if looking closely for the detail.
Inside the original leather is in great condition, as is the carpet and dash. Hood lining is brand new and all glass is in good condition. The stereo is updated with an understated six stack deck and hidden amp in the boot. Stereo sound is delicious unless you’d rather put the windows down, open the sun roof and listen to the aural delights coming from the 4.0 litre beast up front.
