History
This Hq holden sedan was purchased by my brother in the 90’s. Originally a 202 kingswood with air con, power steer and 3 on the tree. My brother installed a 253 and trimatic and dropped it on its guts gaining a lot of attention from the police. The vehicle was yellow stamped and taken off the road where it sat and rotted for the best part of 15 years. I purchased it from him to save it back in 2009 to try and save it. What started as a quick cut and shut paint project progressed to a 13 year complete strip down rotisserie and 4 different engine combos in between amd numerous amounts of mag wheels to suit.
The car is now complete with a dart 383 stroker built by Leo parisotto.
A weiand 671 blower and b&m full manual t400.
A custom built 3” shaft built by Ricky’s Tailshafts and a 9 inch with 4 link with detroit centre 3:55 and 31 spline strange axels.
Weld wheels were next on the list and 17” up front to cover up the hopper stopper 6 piston calipers.
15x10 on the rear were no problem once I had it mini rubbed by Chris @ genter race fab.
Viking coil overs all round and rod shop tube front.
Craig jones from jonesys restorations did a brilliant job on the body and paint considering how much of the car was actually left once we started chasing the rust.
I went for an original orchid metallic with a bit of custom tweaking and oh my does she pop in the sun.
The interior is complete GTS with hounds tooth seats and centre console to match.
I did the boot install myself to match the interior.
The car produces just shy of 650hp on 8 pound but will never see a race track of a skid pad after how good it turned out and the amount of money that has gone into it.
