History
Stunning "The Lone-O-Ranger" Orange 1971 LC Torana XU1 Bathurst Tribute.
Ground up re-build in 2010 of a factory LC Torana S as a tribute to the LC Bathurst Torana. Running a 186 six with genuine fully refurbished matching set of XU1 1.5" Strombergs, HSD Bathurst head, roller rockers, oversize pistons, Starfire rods and high capacity oil pump and genuine XU1 manifold. Gears are swapped via a M20 4 speed and 3.55 LSD Banjo.
Travelled 6,301 miles since it's rebuild. Stunning example of the LC Torana series and draws admiration from people wherever she goes. The late Harry Firth, AOM was so impressed by the build that he gladly signed his name on the glovebox and Jim Richards signed under the bonnet as it was the same as the car he raced in New Zealand in 1971.
