History
I have known this vehicle from new, when it was bought by a family friend. I bought this car after he passed away, some 24 years ago. It still has the original engine, drive train etc., except the 5 speed manual gear box transferred from a Datsun 240K, some 20 years ago. I still have the original books and just last year, all the body was rust-treated and re-painted in the original Datsun cream. I have fitted 15" mags and also a 6 stacker CD player. Only last week I drove from Perth to Margaret River, some 500k and it was a pleasure to drive. The Datto is always garaged and is a loved and revered member of the family.
Modifications
5speed gearbox, instead of the original 4 speed, as mentioned. Also, 6stacker CD (as mentioned) and 15"mags. It still has the 2 carbs and the motor is absolutely standard. It had new rings and big ends, when the 5 speed was fitted (20 yrs ago)!
Bumpers were re-chromed with the paint job in August 2011. Also I had an electric dizzy fitted about 4 years ago.
