History
I purchased the car in June 2005 as a rusted shell without a motor or gear box. Every other part was included in the many boxes that came with the car. The shell need a lot of work so I place the car in a rotisserie 2006 in which it sat due to health reason until the end of 2015 early 2016.
I have been working on the car for the past 6 years slowly making progress. In February 2022 registered it for the first time in the 17 years I have own it.
The past 4 months have been fitting small bit and pieces in and effort to refine it and make it super reliable. After 16 years I finally got to sit in the car for the first time. instagram.com/rustandpaint
Modifications
The car was a red base model Monaro 6 cylinder automatic column shift. I have changed it a SBC 350/290 with a turbo 400running a standard 10 bolt disc brake rear end out of a 1082 Statesman. My Friend Brendan moved the battery to the boot and hide the engine bay wiring.
I changed it to a twin light front and painted it a 2 pack, Atlas Blue and White 2 tone paint scheme. The interior has GTS dash with a hounds tooth interior. To get a way from the 5 spoke wheels and to be a little different i want a set of 18 inch polished alloy rally wheels 8 on the front and 9 on the rear with all the guards and wheel moulding being rolled for extra clearance .
