Another project that didn't quite get off the ground. 'Old Number Two' has a rich South Australian history. She was the only the 2nd Mercedes off the production line when Australia started building Mercs at Port Melbourne in the 50's. Owned from new by the one family after being specially ordered in 1959 from the SA Benz dealership. The car ran well, had no rust but had bad paint. I ran over her with some undercoat and played around a little but times dictated that I couldn't go further with my plans as a slightly rodded cruiser. She was sold to a mate so who knows, I may be able to get her back again one day.
