History
Purchased from a Toowoomba farmer where it had been stored in a shed for approximately 10 years. A sad state with all the chrome parts rusted and the piston stuck in the bore through lack of use, seat-pan also badly rusted. I started restoration in 2015, we moved towns the following year so the bike was loaded onto a trailer for transport. I started buying the required parts to change it into a 'Cafe-racer' style rather than keep the AG look.
Modifications
The engine & exhaust are still original, likewise the frame, but new handle-bars, indicators & mudguards were fitted along with a custom-made oil-tank & seat, which I made & covered in Maroon vinyl. I painted the tank Blue rather than leaving it the original Orange colour with new Badges & the small pad which is just visible in the photo. New road oriented tyres have transformed the bike along with a larger engine-sprocket to produce a more user-friendly machine on the roads.
