History
Purchased in NSW from a farmer about to crush her along with the shed she was in. The blue was painted sometime in the early 70's as the last rego sticker was dated to expire in 1974, the blue paint was of such a professional standard that all the windows and most of the interior were also painted at the same time.
Modifications
She is mostly original apart from some Nature provided body modifications and some exterior bright work that was unkindly donated by Light Fingered Freddie!
Due to some marvelous mechanical service work provided by the previous owner that believed that oil was unnecessary and that at highway speeds the magic power that keeps parts moving vanishes, this lead to the "Pure Synergy" of motoring where the engine block, crank and conrods all become one!
Strangely though we were unable to remove said items because of the obvious tight tolerances and our lack of experience with these modern engines a replacement power plant was sourced.
Also at some time in this vehicle's history the original front wheel bearings were changed out with a far superior set of Ford wheel bearings with a more acceptable taper, this may have lead to a wheel locking up and going solo for a mile or three. Again our inept skills ( or lack there of) were called upon and again found lacking as our use of Araldite to put the stub axle back together (yes we did leave it set for the full 48 hours!) seamed to fail once the new Ford bearings were installed, sadly I must point out that the front drum and brake pads were also modified in such a way that these components were now lighter and more aerodynamic but sadly to be found lacking when needed for actual braking!
Again due to our lack of skills when working on such modern vehicles replacement front end, steering and braking systems were installed.
On a more serious note I extend a HUGE thank you to all those that actually helped in getting this beautiful old girl off the road and keeping her in the garage by ripping off a disabled pensioner and not following through on promises made.
We do honestly thank those wonderful and kind people that actually followed through by getting off their collective rears and trying to make an old mans wish come true no matter how badly we failed.
