History
Built in 1959 by Nota Engineering .This prototype car is actually a copy of an Elva Mk1. Subsequent cars were marketed as KM 200s
This car was first raced by Spencer Martin,(the car was then called a Herald Special because of the conflict of interest with Elva)
Ray Strong owned the car for a period .He registered the car and used it on the road. It then was raced by John Valentin. John had much success with the car at many tracks in the Eastern States.
I purchased the car in 1983 after it had spent many years in a Toowoomba speed shop.
My Son Damien and I have had many years of fun vintage sports car racing in Queensland. It still holds a class record at Mt Cotton hill climb.
Modifications
The car is currently restored to its 1969 spec with the Ford engine and gear box.
