Memories
The 1947 Jaguar was the first car I purchased when I was 17. I paid $60 for it and sort of restored it to working order.
It was the first car I did 100mph (160 kph).
I have many happy motoring memories of this car. Some of my girl friends may not have appreciated my motoring skills!! The Jag could brake down at the most inappropriate moments.
It could jam in first gear and require the top of the gear box to be removed to work it out of first gear.
It did not impress my passenger when asked to help hold the torch while I fixed the problem.
