History
I purchased this car in 1994 while living in Los Angeles. The car was manufactured in Ford’s San Jose plant, late model in 1972. This car was my daily driver in LA. The car has sequential turn signals, power windows and top. This particular Cougar has a number of very rare options including automatic seat back releases, intermittent wipers, illuminated entry, two power operated seats (driver and passenger), power trunk release, and engine bay lamp. Probably the most unique option is the "Space Saver Spare" tire option with a key operated lock to prevent theft. Of course air-conditioning and and AM-FM radio are also fitted. This is a lovely car to drive. I imported the car in 2005 when I returned to Australia. There were on 1,929 XR7 Cougar convertibles built in 1972.
Modifications
The engine was completely rebuilt with minor modifications, essentially the car is stock.
