History
This vehicle was purchased new by my Wife's Grandfather in Yallourn Victoria in 1936. I purchased it from him in 1975 and carried out quite a lot of work while there were still plenty of parts available from Stokoe Motors in North Melbourne. I also acquired two spare motors and gear boxes which have been the source of many spare parts. Between 1982 and 2014 the vehicle the vehicle was stored and not much work was carried out during this time. The vehicle is still registered with the original plates which are a bit battered but solid enough for a repair. The vehicle was rolled over into a gully in Yallourn in 1953 so the body panels required lots of loving restoration to get them back to their original condition. The island roof panel had been recovered in poor quality vinyl and was a huge job to strip out ready for repainting. It is looking good and with front bumper bars now re-fitted the chrome has lightened the whole front section. I am desperately trying to source a new grill as the original is beyond repair.
