History
This is my second Norton Commando. My first was a black and gold 72 with the Combat engine spec. It was the bike I had through my 20's and gave me 1000's of miles of fun. Shortly before I moved to Australia in 2004 it had dropped a valve and was put in storage. While visiting home in Toronto, Canada a couple years ago, I sold it to a good friend who has since done a complete restoration.
I soon regretted selling it though and had to get another. Funnily enough, with the Aussie dollar being strong, it was cheaper for me to get one back home and freight it here! This 1971 Roadster in Fireflake Orange was purchased from the 3rd owner and had never left the town it was originally sold in. All the owners had known each other as well. I've had it in Adelaide since June of 2010, it puts a smile on my face every time I open the garage door, and shit-eating grin on my face every time I ride it!
