Purchased the ute in 1985 from a farmer near Collerenabri. Original owner told me he ordered ute from Ford with many GT options as he wanted a GT ute. Was originally white with gold GS stripe. Original spec was 4v 351, top loader' 9' diff. GT fake scoops on rear quarter were factory fitted. When I purchased it already had the XC front fitted, this was apparently due to kangaroo damage. The original motor had been replaced with an exchange long motor, an Australian 4v with the 2v heads, some engine reconditioner got a good score........ Sold the car in either 1989 or 1990. Car went to Mendoran I believe.
Modifications
Paint changed to burnt orange with black stripe. 4 wheel disc brakes 3.0:1 LSD and radius rods. Twin fuel fillers, never got round to fitting the extra tank. Rebuilt engine, bit of head work, Bert Jones cam, Offenhouser manifold, Mallory distributor.
