History
Built in February 1966 at Fremont California and imported by Adelaide Dealer from Arizona in about 1985. Purchased in 1989 by bank where I worked for my exclusive use (salary package). Purchased by me personally in 1996 when I retired from the bank. Horrid black interior changed to original style brighter beige/fawn upholstery in 2005. Used as daily driver during all this time including several 400 kilometre trips to country.
Modifications
Converted to right had drive with Holden HT front end (which includes disc brakes) in about 1986. At the same time the Powerglide 2-speed gearbox was changed to a 3-speed turbo 350 transmission. In 1992 the engine was changed from 327 ci block to 350 ci due to oil consumption in 1 cylinder. An Edelbrock carbie (Rochester copy) replaced the Holley carb in 2008. Everything else is original.
